France GENOMIQUE
- Description
- Description
INRAE Genomics is the INRAE component of the national infrastructure France Génomique. Its objective is to provide the public and private scientific community, as well as socio-economic stakeholders, with the highest level of expertise and skills in genomic data production and analysis, along with project support. In the agricultural, plant, and animal sectors, as well as in the fields of environment, agri-food, health, and biotechnology, INRAE Genomics platforms offer a wide range of services in five complementary application areas: de novo genome sequencing, genetic polymorphism studies, gene expression analysis, gene regulation studies, and metagenomics.
INRAE Genomics is composed of five platforms, each integrated within a regional ecosystem where they benefit from strong visibility:
- Get, a platform of the GIS Genotoul.
- Gentyane, part of the network of 30 platforms at the University of Clermont Auvergne and thus a member of UCA Partner.
- PGTB, a platform within the network of platforms of the University of Bordeaux.
- EPGV, hosted within the national sequencing platform Génoscope, located in Evry.
- CNRGV, a platform of the GIS Genotoul, and also a member of the plant-focused BRC4Plant pillar of the national infrastructure RARe.
With a team of 75 engineers and technicians, INRAE Genomics offers various sequencing technologies, including short-read sequencing (Illumina, Element Biosciences, and Thermofisher) and long-read sequencing (Pacific Biosciences & Oxford Nanopore), genotyping (Thermofisher, Illumina, and Agena Biosciences), and optical mapping (Bionano Genomics).
Our platforms also place a high priority on R&D, with active monitoring of technological developments to maintain cutting-edge expertise and provide the best guidance to research teams.
Strong ties exist with the IR Bioinfomics, particularly through ISC Genotoul Bioinfo.
