France-EXPOSOME
Deciphering of the human exposome
- Description
- Description
The new research infrastructure France Exposome aims to structure and invigorate the scientific community working in the environmental-health field on the topic of the human chemical exposome, through targeted and non-targeted approaches (primarily involving mass spectrometry) for characterizing exposure markers, toxicokinetic modeling, and predictive toxicology.
France Exposome supports research in the field of environmental health, helping to better understand the associations between exposures to chemical factors and health events related to chronic diseases, by providing innovative tools and methods to the community.
France Exposome offers expertise and a range of scientific, methodological, and technical services for research teams in exposomics, epidemiology, and public health, as well as for private entities. National agencies (Santé publique France, Anses) and other institutes (INCa) can also rely on France Exposome to develop their biomonitoring and prevention programs.
The technological equipment and expertise are located at Irset-Leres in Rennes, Laberca (UMR 1329) in Nantes, Ineris in Verneuil-en-Halatte, Toxalim (UMR 1331) in Toulouse, and the T3S unit in Paris. These partners provide complementary expertise in toxicology, data interpretation, and modeling.
Listed on the 2021 roadmap of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation, the France Exposome infrastructure is supported by Inserm and its partners, including EHESP, Ineris, INRAE, Oniris, Université Paris Cité, and Université de Rennes.
