NeurATRIS
Translational research infrastructure for innovative neuroscience therapies
- Description
- Description
NeurATRIS, coordinated by the CEA, is a national research infrastructure designed to accelerate the transformation of discoveries from fundamental research into medical innovations for the treatment of neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental diseases.
Established in 2012 following the call for projects under the “Investments for the Future” program in “Biology and Health Infrastructure,” its objective is to provide a continuum of translational expertise, from in vitro cellular models to phase II clinical trials on patients with major brain disorders, such as Alzheimer’s (AD), Parkinson’s (PD), and Huntington’s diseases (HD), Multiple Sclerosis (MS), or certain cerebral developmental disorders.
Organized as a single-access network, NeurATRIS is intended to coordinate activities and technological development in service of the scientific and industrial communities. It simplifies access to and use of high-level facilities (See “NeurATRIS Platforms”) and promotes the participation of French stakeholders in European initiatives. It also enhances France's attractiveness and visibility in the field of translational neuroscience research.
