- Description
- Description
SOERE PRO is a network of long-term experimental field sites studying the agricultural recycling of organic waste products :
- Assessment of the effects of repeated inputs of ORPs on the dynamics of organic matter and potential carbon storage in soils, the biogeochemical cycles of nutrients (C, N, P), the fate of chemical and biological contaminants potentially present, and the physical properties and biological activities of soils,
- Simulation of the long-term consequences of regular application of PRO and integration into the environmental analysis
- Testing of various alternative application scenarios and transposition to a regional scale.
SOERE PRO comprises 5 highly instrumented experimental sites, mainly cultivated with field crops, and conducted in different agro-pedo-climatic contexts:
- QualiAgro, located in the Paris basin, comparing various urban composts and cattle manure.
- PROspective in the Haut-Rhin region of north-eastern France, comparing composted and non-composted products.
- EFELE in Brittany, comparing different livestock effluents and treatment processes.
- SOERE PRO comparing livestock effluents and urban organic waste.
- SOERE PRO Senegal, a site run with vegetable crops, comparing poultry manure, urban sludge and digestate.
