GCIE - Picardie is dedicated to varietal innovation in field crops for more environmentally-friendly food and non-food agricultural production.
It has a 163-hectare estate, 5 climatic chambers specifically for studying resistance to cold and greenhouses.
GCIE hosts both analytical experiments and long-term "cropping systems" type experiments:
- Environmental Research Observatory,
- Low-input cropping systems,
- Biomass and environment system.
