Biochem-Env

The BioChem-Env analytical platform provides facilities and services for the biochemical characterisation of natural environments and associated macrofauna :

• enzymatic activities in soils, sediments,
• phospholipid fatty acids (PLFAs),
• biomarkers of terrestrial fauna and benthic invertebrates: energy reserves and macromolecules, oxidative stress, detoxification mechanisms, exposure to environmental contaminants, etc.).

It also develops biological methods for characterising environments, and is involved in international standardisation work.

Equipment :

• An individual laboratory area, which can be converted into a quarantine area for samples subject to authorisation.
• A mobile laboratory for analyses in the field or scientific outreach and mediation activities.
