- Description
PHENOTIC aims to create a phenotyping chain from dry seed to the whole plant, capable of covering the entire plant development cycle, and brings together dedicated phenotyping tools for :
- Assess the physical, germinative and sanitary qualities of seeds and monitor the growth of seedlings.
- Characterise the development and architecture of above-ground plant parts,
- Assess the impact of biotic stresses.
The platform brings together phenotyping tools based essentially on image acquisition and processing, using conventional and non-conventional imaging, high throughput and/or high precision measurements.
The PHENOTIC platform comprises two facilities:
- the Angers Plant Phenotyping Facility within UMR IRHS, under general management delegation from INRAe,
- the Angers Seed Phenotyping Facility hosted and managed by GEVES-SNES.
It is involved in the PHENOME-Emphasis national IR network.
