The "Observatoire du Développement Rural" (Rural Development Observatory) hosts the “observatory of community rural development programs”

This Observatory aims at contributing to the preparation, monitoring and evaluation in France, of Community rural development policies and particularly the measures funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), and to establish a cooperative tool for Social Science Research on agricultural policies, the rural development and the agri-environment. It provides information and indicators  for monitoring agricultural policy at different geographical levels and/or from different points of view (water resources management, land issues, products with quality labels,etc.). It develops and applies spatial econometric modeling approaches in the framework of national and international research programs. Information is displayed by topics in fact sheets and in map form, available through a web portal.

ODR also hosts an “Observatory of agricultural and rural employment” and an “Observatory of products under quality labels”.
