- Description
DiAScope offers 75 ha of fields and 2,500 m2 of greenhouses for experimentation on field crops and arboriculture, focusing on
- plant diversity,
- the domestication of varieties,
- adaptation to hydric and nutritional stress,
- varietal innovation,
- genotypes and environments interactions,
- plant and microbial communities, soil quality indicators, soil fauna and carbon sequestration.
It offers a range of cropping systems from conventional to organic farming, a platform and high-throughput phenotyping tools, and is developing expertise in the creation, management and description of cultivated plant diversity. It is involved in :
- Dynamic management of genetic resources (sunflower, durum wheat, maize).
- Varietal innovation and creation for organic farming (durum wheat, maize, sunflower).
- Architecture and growth modelling of fruit species (apple, apricot, olive).
- Study of growth under conditions of environmental stress.
- Genetic determinants of quality criteria and Nitrogen and Phosphorus use efficiency (durum wheat, Perfume, aromatic, medicinal plants).
